Common questions

"What if I already have a website?": Keep it. We'll add a "Book now" button to it that takes customers straight to your booking page.
"My regulars won't book online.": Keep taking phone bookings as you always have. Your staff enters them into the system. Your customers don't see the difference.
"Do I keep paying after the £899?": Yes — your monthly Pro plan keeps the booking page running, sends reminders, and processes payments. Cancel any time. No contract.
"Can I leave Cueselect later?": Of course. Your domain stays yours. You can export all your customer data and bookings whenever you want.
"I don't have a logo yet.": Send us your venue name and we'll set you up with clean text branding. You can swap in a logo later from your dashboard, no rush.
"Is my customers' card data safe?": Stripe handles every card — the same payments processor used by Amazon, ASOS, and Deliveroo. We never see card numbers. UK-hosted, GDPR compliant.

Do I need a website already?+

No. Your cueselect subdomain works as a standalone booking page. If you do have a site, paste our widget in — takes a minute.

How do payments work?+

Connect your Stripe account in settings. Customers pay a deposit (or full amount — your call) at the time of booking. Funds land in your Stripe balance; we never touch the money.

What is Stripe, and do I need an account?+

Stripe is the regulated payments company that actually moves card money — the same one Shopify, Uber and most UK SaaS sites use. If you want to take card payments online, you connect a free Stripe account in a 5-minute onboarding flow (we guide you through exactly what you'll need: ID, bank details, company info). Money lands straight in your bank — cueselect never touches the funds.

Can I just use the booking system and skip online payments?+

Yes — on the Club and Pro plans you can flip payments off entirely, and every booking confirms instantly as "pay at venue". Perfect for traditional clubs that prefer handling cash at the counter. On the Free plan, online payments are required (that's how we fund a £0 tier) — if you want pay-at-venue only, upgrade to Club.

What about regulars who don't want to pay online?+

Mark a customer as trusted and they can reserve tables without paying upfront. You settle at the venue. Toggle it off anytime.

Can I migrate from a spreadsheet or another system?+

Yes — send us a CSV of your tables, rates, and regular customers and we'll import it for you on any plan.

Where is my data stored?+

UK/EU data centres. We're GDPR-compliant and you can export every booking, customer, and payment record whenever you want.
